TREKKING 2 DAYS 1 NIGHT: Inthanon National Park, Chiang Mai, Thailand

Chiang Mai-Inthanon National park. Southwestern route of Chiang Mai.
Highway No.108. 110 kms.

Day 1. At 8:00 a.m. we leave by mini-bus to visit the local market at Ban Sanpatong on the way to Inthanon,the highest mountain in Thailand. The peak of Doi Inthanon is 2,656 meters above sea level and is called “The Roof of South East Asia” we also see a very beautiful waterfall, “The Rainbow Waterfall”, situated in a National Park that is also a wild life sanctuary. Our next stop is to see the King & Queen’s Shrines, where the King’s Project grows varieties of vegetables, fruits, flowers, etc. To replace the cultivation of opium. We have lunch on the way at a local restuarent. After a short drive we trek for about 3 hours to a White Karen hill-tribe village.than have dinner and spend the night there.

Day 2. After breakfast. We trek for about 3 hours through beautiful scenery to another White Karen village. Where we will take lunch. Afterwards we continue trekking for about 2 – 3 hours to a local village. Where we will take a Bamboo Raft trip along the Mae Vin River for about 1 hour then we will go elephant riding through the jungle for about 1 hour before returning to Chiang Mai by mini-bus.
